This lawsuit arises out of an automobile collision that occurred on February 7, 1989, on U.S. Highway 290. McDermott sued Long for negligence and gross negligence, and upon Longs failure to file an answer, McDermott obtained a default judgment in the principal amount of $6,852.22, representing $6,452.22 for collision damage to McDermotts vehicle, and $400 for loss of use of the vehicle. We affirm.
